About Me

I am an Assistant Professor of Management at Drexel University in Philadelphia. I earned my PhD in Organizational Behavior from the University of Colorado Boulder. My research focuses on understanding the conditions that foster or inhibit physical and relational well-being at work. I use both qualitative and quantitative methods to explore how employees take interpersonal risks to nurture relationships and advocate for their own well-being across a variety of phenomena such as leaves of absence (medical and parental), menopause, mental health, grief, and autism spectrum disorder.

My work has been published in management outlets such as the Academy of Management Journal, Organizational Psychology Review, and Harvard Business Review, and I am an active member of the Compassion Lab and Positive Relationships at Work micro-communities.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends throughout the Northeastern US, making banana bread, and using OB theories to analyze contestant behavior on Survivor.
